About
Founded in 2005, the Texas Evening Entrepreneurs was created for and is run by students in the Texas Evening MBA program at the University of Texas at Austin. We are a group of ambitious and motivated individuals with a desire to apply what we are learning in an entrepreneurial way.
TEE’s meetings give members a chance to network and learn from each other, as well as those in the local entrepreneurial community. In the coming year, TEE gatherings will include:
- Guest speakers — A domain expert talks about his experiences, tribulations, and advice for entrepreneurs or those that work with them. The speakers have proven to be quite engaging and diverse, from venture capitalists to business owners to activists.
- Idea Panels — If you’ve ever had an idea for a startup, this is an opportunity to present it to a receptive audience of fellow classmates. Unlock that idea in your head, or get advice on a new business at a crossroads. We expect to feature 3-4 presenters for this session.
- Social networking events — This is an opportunity to network with other entrepreneurial organizations in Austin. Featuring groups from UT and/or outside organizations.
What started as a group of ambitious students with an interest in being entrepreneurs rapidly evolved into the organization known as the Texas Evening Entrepreneurs. We are very proud to have John Doggett as TEE’s faculty sponsor. If you are interested in applying what you are learning in business school to the art of starting a business, please join us.
